Read: John 15:9-17
Remembrance is the act of stopping to remember the people affected by war and a hope for a peaceful future. (Royal British Legion)
People remember in different ways, some people wear poppies, other remember through music or dance, others may attend special services and events in throughout the country. It is important to remember those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice and showed the greatest love as described in John 15. ‘Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.’
How will you remember?

Pray: Dear God, it is important for us to remember the sacrifice others made so that we could live the lives we have today. Be with all those who mourn and help us to learn from our history. Amen
Father in heaven watch over our loved ones.
Keep them by your side.
May they be safe and peaceful, in you may they abide.
Give wisdom to the doctors and nurses too we pray,
renew their strength and bless them for the work they do each day. Send healing and restoration and let them feel your love.
May your Holy Spirit give them rest as gentle as a dove. Amen (Taken from Praying Together)
Share: Ask an adult if there is a Roll of Honour in your church – can you go to see it? Take a few moments to remember all those who are affected by war.
