• Monday – Jesus in the Temple – Mark 11:15-19 Read: Mark 11:15-19
Jesus wanted the Temple to be respected – to be a place where people could come to pray and worship but instead it was full of people selling things and taking advantage of people who came to make sacrifices. Jesus got angry about this and started turing over tables and throwing everything. We don’t often think of Jesus as angry but we can see how angry he was at this time – he wanted to show how important it is to keep ourselves separate from all the wrong things that can distract us for living for God.

The Lord’s Prayer:
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come,
thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

and forgive us our tresspasses,
as we forgive those who tresspass against us.
And lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
